A very nice capture Debs of a bird rarely heard or seen these days.
They were usually heard hovering up high before they were seen.

Great skylark image Debs, another winner! Very few people get good photos of them as they are usually singing about 300 ft up in the sky! We get them round here but have never seen a grounded one. You hear them singing quite often in the sky, as you do on Exmoor.

It seems to be well camouflaged which may be one of the reasons it's seldom spotted.
