Haven't posted for a bit - haven't been anywhere! Took this a few weeks ago at Bristol Zoo - very wet, dull and dreary day. I thought the result I got here was somewhat abstract-like with the blocks of colour. Not sure, what do you think.

Just cropped and sharpened by 1 thingy!!

Good sharp pic. The D.O.F separates the bird from the water nicely.

Nice composition and very striking subject. Good background of silky water althought it may be a little dark against the black plumage. You had a real challenge here: very black and very white feathers are particularly difficult to capture and you have both to contend with her.

Nice shot of an eider duck, especially with that little bit of pink on the chest. Was it lit with a flash? Looks quite blown on the white bits but I know it's really difficult to get the detail on these (hence why I've not uploaded any despite taking a few!) Nice composition and feather detail in the wing.

thanks for the comments. I had very mixed feelings about this one, not sure whether i like it or not - but it kept jumping out at me. Think i liked the abstracty feel.

No, didn't use the flash Lauren.
