Schiphol Airport last Monday afternoon. Along with several thousand others, our flight home was cancelled due to snow. You can see from the photo that the nose of the plane is visible but you can hardly see the tail. All flights were stopped and the rail system was similarly affected. I guess it is comforting to know that the UK is not alone in grinding to a halt in the snow
