I like the image and the treatment. I can't say for certain whether this was bluebell or wild garlic. But, wild garlic does smell and bluebells don't.

I looked up the Star of Bethlehem. They do look similar but these have a green mid vein. The pictures of the Star of Bethlehem have a white mid vein but i guess there are probably different variants?

Looks more like "three cornered leek" to me. Triangular stem? It looks a bit flat sided.

Never heard of three cornered leeks before but a quick google and you may well be correct. The flowers are more or less identical to those i found on google. If the rain stops, i will take a closer look on tomorrows dog walk

Took the dog for her walk yesterday and checked the stems. Definately triangular. Three Cornered Leek. Many thanks to Coelacanth for the identification

Well taken image, it is always sad to see they are going.
I remember that we passed by some in the woodland some years ago,... it was the smell we noticed first and found the flowers. Does it smell garlic?
