Excellent shot for your first attempt.
I like the image as regards lighting and pose, but i'm not happy about the missing leg!
I feel that it is too tightly cropped all round except for the RHS.
A dancer should not be in a resticted frame, even though she is static IMHO.
OK I know I'm an awkward B, but I do think this shot needs more space to complete the diagonal composition.
I don't know what others think but if you have the leg on the neg please upload it so that we can compare them.

To all those above-- a hart felt thank you ! Yes this is my VERY first try in my "studio". I took over 100 pics that afternoon-most were blured{forgot to reset from ISO200} As for the leg as MACRO noted--sorry,this is NOT a cropped pic--just a nervous picture taker. I do have a couple more of Kara that may be worthy of your opinions
