Love the title Walter! These bits of kit are a complete mystery to me, but they do shape up well after a few years' weathering!

It is the limited palette, contrasting colors and simple subject that hs made this image sing--- Fabulous rust and sky--and a great shape to give it substance!
Super colour, texturing & composition.. Like the title too, although no idea what it is

Along with some of the others who've commented, I've no idea what this is - a widgit-thingy on a telephone pole maybe?? Anyway, whatever it is, I really like the lovely textures and tones you've found here Walter and the warm light shows them up to their best advantage.

Definitely grotty enough with splendid detail - the processing works well here. Good contrasting palette of colours. Those rusty/earthy tones stand out well against the blue.

I take it you didn't climb up that pole to get this one Tongue

No, I didn't climb the power pole. Thorny succulent plants are one thing but I draw the line at high tension power lines.
