Very Big

By gajewski
Portland is a city of food trucks. Wherever there might have been a vacant city block, it is now rimmed with food trucks.
Each of these blocks of food trucks is referred to as a "pod" and some pods consist of maybe 60 trucks.
The food truck pictured here is probably the most popular in Portland. However, we didn't want to wait to find out for ourselves.
They kept announcing that it takes 3 minutes to make each sandwich by hand and there were 60 customers ahead of us. There are those who say it is worth the wait.

More good work form that D7000. This is brilliant in exposure and detailsand especially fine with the lens you used!

I would not have waited either!

Don't think I could have waited for 60 people to get served before me, Walter, even if people were telling me it was really worth waiting for Smile Carol

A great pre-narrative, and what an image, which I am sure could be complemented by many a narrative in its own right.

morning Walter. A great image, as with all your images, full of depth and clarity with enough detail in it to keep the viewer interested for some time. I wonder what motivates someone to wait fro 90 minutes for a sandwich? I also find the building in the background interesting with the different types of brick, signs etc.

overall a great piece of work Walter

Fascinating that people can wait that long - I certainly wouldn't be able to! Excellent image with fine detail Walter - even down to those bricks in the distance.

I'd love to try one, Walter. It often happens to be much better to eat food on the street rather than at a restaurant, and much cheaper of course. Good capture!

Blimey, sounds as though you'd need to start queuing well before you were hungry if the queues are that long Smile I like the humour in this one Walter and it's very well observed - I especially like the detail of the woman tucking into her sarnie at the far left of the image and, if her expression is anything to go by, it was worth the wait.
