Love it - This works really well in B&W. I like the way the burnt out shell of the car has a similar pattern to the sky.

I got one of these! I've got a box of matches too!
Love the way you've given this the same work and attention to detail as a landscape with a bale of hay.

and they say the build quality of Fords has improved! Good shot - like the use of mono it focuses you on the texture. Great series of images

Best thing to happen to a Ka.

The bleak terrain and stormy clouds fit well with the subject. Works very well in b+w with good contrast.

Great picture. I think that rusty old heaps make for some very interesting pictures!
Out of interest, did you use noise reduction on the car? (It looks very smooth for a rusted one, almost sanded down! The effect looks very good if you did.)

mr_dave, no noise reduction was used, the car was white and quite a lot of the bare metal escaped smoke damage and had not yet rusted. The whites and highlights were dodged in PS. This has given a smooth almost vector art look to the surface of the car.
Thanks for another HC Pete, and thank you all for your kind comments.

Ganto, it's a great series, made by the light you use. It works even with a Ka! Cheers, Bert

Very effective composition. I like the roundness of the Ka's shape against the stormy clouds.
