Snowdon

By Gareth_H
After quite a spell without doing much photography, I thought I would start the new Year as I meant to go on.
So here is my one from my 1st outing of the year, having slogged it up to the top of "The Horns" on Snowdon in snow up to my thighs, I was rewarded with some lovely colour for sunrise.
After having been up there, I wished I had taken my Ice Axe and crampons and then gone up Snowdon, perhaps another day.

Mybe you made the good decision not taking them You have an excellent image, you might have ended up with nothing, or worse.

Magnificient - glad to be No, 30.
Joan.
Fantastic image indeed - beautiful image to start the year with.

There was superb light like that tonight on the Rhigos Mountain here in Wales - it was truly magical. Freezing cold up there though, but well worth it.

All the best for 2010

This is so strange. I was taking a picture of this exact scene at the same time but from the shore of Llyn Lydaw, top left, catching that blast of red sunrise on Snowdon before it disappeared behind the snow clouds. A stunning image.
