Death Valley Straightaway

By GarrathE
This was taken from a car in motion heading into Death Valley, California. The weather was wet and the desert was green with burgeoning plants. The original was a lot duller due to the abysmal weather so I've tweaked the Levels and Highlights/Shadows a bit. V1 here is without a border.

Not originally a panorama it just begged to be cropped that way.

Works so well in the letterbox format, well captured and presented. Carol

Great view that gives a real sense of the space in that area - so refreshing for someone from these crowded islands. I think a plain, white border works best here, probably a wider one too. There are no blacks in the image so black looks a little oppressive and the coloured border is just distracting - only my opinion.

Not a soul about! like the letter box here and with the gold boarder in V3 does it well picking up the other yellows and golds, well composed Garrath

Nicely cropped & good distance definition. For me,I think the larger crop of V1 works best, although I do generally favour thin frames on panos.
