Well, we are back from Spain. But only after an overnight delay that forced us to put up with a room on the 21st floor of Benidorm's tallest and five star hotel, the Gran Hotel Bali.

It was easy to look out over Benidorm and the view from the observation platform on the 43rd floor was amazing. Watch this space! But... Looking up and down was difficult so I stuck my compact out facing up and down and took these shots.

I have to admit that I did nothing to these shots other than 'Save for Web' in Photoshop Elements 8.

Looks busy but intriguing... I like it. Minimal colours make it work.

V1 really is quite disorientating! (Which is good...) I'd include the Specialist/Abstract category for this, because it's primarily about lines and angles.
Just a suggestion - try cropping off the bottom to give a square image. I think it contains the lines rather nicely. As uploaded, the softer focus on much lighter lines in the foreground is distracting - if you drastically reduce that area it serves better as a base-line for the composition above.

I rather like the fuzzy top bit in version 1 - it very accurately describes how I felt when I looked down at this view. Thanks for taking V2 - my neck injury meant that I couldn't do it!
