A cracking shot of this golden ringed dragonfly Gary, these are really scarce so this is a great find. I remember us seeing some at Cannop Ponds and Woorgreens Lake in the Forest of Dean a couple of years ago, was this taken there?

This is a Mosaic Darner, or as they are called in Britain, Hawker There are many subspecies, I'm not sure which one it is. There are some good identification sites on line. The ID depends and the shape and color of the mosaics and the shape of the tail. It amazes me they have been around longer than the dinosaurs....they must be doing something rightSmile
