cornwallHi Mark,

Firstly welcome top EPZ - It's a fun place.

I think what you've captured in camera is a good shot and could benefit from a crop to turn it into a panoramic image. I'd lose the bottom of the shot, from the ramp down and the top to remove some of the extra cloud.

I'll do a quick mod' to demonstrate.

Aysgarth Falls

Aysgarth FallsHi Simon,

What you have is a pleasantly composed shot thatís slightly over-exposed. If you look at the background behind the tree is predominately white and in the flowing water there is a level of detail missing.

My advice would be to switch on histogram view when you take the shot and ensure that the graph is not bunched too far to the right (or left, otherwise itíll be under exposed) and if it is pop off another shot to compensate.

I also note that you shoot in jpeg. For best results switch to RAW if you can. It means you have to do some post processing Ė sharpening, contrast etc, but it will pay dividends in the end but will not help if you over/under expose.

Finally, you could also try a crop and remove the top 1/3 to remove the skyline completely, it maybe worth a try.

I hope thatís been of some help, I may try a mod when I get in a tonight (or over the weekend)
