I'm just working my way back through the Gallery and I come across Pete's shot.
Mo, I was! We met up all too briefly. One of my later shots will be taken from Pete's step!
Ian, thanks for your comments, that's exactly what I was after. I'll upload a mod' without the curves tweak, and see if it looks any better. Possible if I'd uploaded the shot before when the car was more square on I would have got away with the high shutter speed.
I can't believe of the 2,500 shots I took at the weekend I upload a shot so similar to Pete's - well that's my luck

Have a good evening folks, I'm back off to the gallery.

Ade, sorry didn't mean to ignore you, uploaded my comments just after you posted yours. I know what you mean about the lack of movement in the wheels, however I think the chassis loading gives a degree of action.
However I post these shots for the feedback, and both Ian and yourself have posted great feedback.
Rest assured, lesson learnt
Cheers folks.
Gary

Thanks folks, appreciate the comments.
Martin, its interesting you mention the car in the background, officially its off the track, however nearly all the cars used this area. Strictly speaking they should incur a penalty, bet nobody was penalised.
Thanks John for the mod
I think the consensus is not enough motion in the lead car, thanks for the critique, its appreciated.
Cheers,
Gary
