The Dark Hedges

It was a 2 hr drive to get here for sunrise but we were glad we did as we were lucky to get some wonderful light and mist on sat morning. This was my first time at this location and i would find it difficult to better the conditions. Only downside was a couple of guys out shooting parked their car right in the middle, wasnt gonna argue with them as they had guns.
I will upload one or two without the car once i get them processed.

Lovely composition but I agree with Bravdo that a version wihout the car would be preferable. Worth getting up early to catch that wonderful light.

I do like the car in it myself, thought it added some scale. Not to everyones taste i suppose. Really wanted a tractor but none showed up.

I actually like the car there! It's nicely positioned within the frame and doesn't look as if it doesn't belong and doesn't detract from the wonderful light within the image.

I look forward to seeing how it looks without however.

Glad you managed to get some shots without the car Gary, but Im in the minority here, I quite like the car, I think it gives the image some scale and I have to say that patch of light through the back window throwing the driver into near silhouette is sublime.

It's a lowered VW Golf Mark 1V, a car nut and a killer I doubt it. You should have asked him to move, he just might have. It's afabulous road this, seen some nice light too, this being one of them.

Excellent Gary, I don't mind the car either, actually I think it works quite well, the shafts of light are captured perfectly!

Actually, I like the car too, especially because you can see its wet tyre tracks where it has entered the avenue of trees. A wonderful image, Gary.
