Misty Mountain

By garymcparland
Wasnt going to upload anymore from this location but was quite pleased with this one so why not.
This was taken about a half an hour before my previous uploads from the Buachaille when the mist rolled in and we had to run for cover from the rain. Its amazing how great the light was half an hour later See here.
I will upload the colour as a variant.

Thanks for looking Smile

Very nice conversion Gary. And quite dramatically different from your linked shot!
It is amazing how quickly things can change - I found it so, too when I was there: photographer's heaven, I reckon!

I much prefer the b/w one because it conveys more atmosphere, although they're both great shots.

Cheers, GRAHAM

That is so different to how it was at the weekend, all that water in the fg is gone and there was just a small run of water over the main fall beside the tree.

Fantastic shot! Mono for me - the heightened conrast in the image really clarifies the detail.

The small smattering of colour in V2 appeals to me most although the mono is great too.

Stunning capture Gary, i prefer the colour version. I've been to this place 5 times but never seen this much water in the f/g.
