Chairlift Whirr

This is a zoom to my previous post of a chairlift at the Sierra Nevada snow resort. Sierra Nevada only exists as a snow resort in Southern Spain because its so high. The peak is just under 4,000m, which makes for some laboured breathing exerting yourself down the slopes, especially when youre no longer 18-fit anymore!

I like the photo for similar reasons to the previous one the textures of blown ice-snow on the cold metal, and the natural orange of the spindle wheel against an otherwise greyscale scene.

Ive treated the image slightly differently in this case pumping up the contrast for an almost negative effect.
