The Mill Pond

By Gaz_H
Getting lazy in my old age and havent posted for a while. Hope everyone has had a fantastic christmas. Some more of the white stuff here would have gone down a treat - I think we're the only part of the UK that missed most of it.

Happy New Year.... and before I forget, this is Herringfleet at -8deg.C - popped down there with a mate and wasn't disappointed.

Beautifully composed winter landscape: the warm toning of the tall grasses gives a nice balance in an other very cool image. Excellent work.

A beautiful well-composed scene with great front to back sharpness and a delicate balance between cool tones and warm colour and light on the mill. Excellent work, Gaz.

Its been a long time since we have seen a GazH upload but its been well worth the wait. This a cracker of an image. As far as I can see its perfect in every aspect. There again Gary you don't come second to anyone when it comes to taking images of wind pumps. Great shot.Smile

An original viewpoint that works brilliantly due to the light on the sails. Well done on the EC, well deserved.
