I had a fantastic experience on Saturday photographing these beautiful birds from a boat at Grassholm Island, West Wales UK.
There were apparently over 39,000 breeding pairs crammed onto that tiny rock about 11 miles off the coast, I didn't count them myself though lol.
The boat sped along at 35 knots through choppy seas so it was worth going just for the ride, lots of sea spray everywhere.
This is just about full frame, I just rotated it slightly and cropped off the uneven edges.
This is an excellent image ! I would love an opportunity to spend photographing them as well
What a stunning bird, love its eye colours......... great capture
Super detailed photo with great lighting
Does the 39,000 include this one Geoff?, wonderful details and sharp eye, glad the weather was kind to you.
What a superb image, great detail...well captured
Beautifully detailed and exposed Geoff, you've caught this fine looking bird in some wonderfu warm light
