The cleaners

I took this shot as soon as I noticed these jackdaws on the deer's back just to make sure I got it then I moved over to the right to get a clear view and just as I guessed would happen, one of the birds saw me and flew off.
They were cleaning bugs etc. off the deer which seemed quite happy to let them do it.

Deer love them, essential as are Red Billed Oxpeckers to Buffalo. Excellent image Geoff.
