Houston - Beltway ahead

By GeorgeP
I transported a rescued bull terrier to the vet this morning. There was a clear blue Texas sky so I took along my old Pentax K10 that was converted to IR. Our route from his foster-home took us along the Katy Freeway. This is part of Interstate 10 that runs the width of Texas, from Louisiana in the east to Arizona in the west. The dog was asleep (strapped in his harness on the back seat), and the toll section of the road was quiet so I ventured this snapshot. At this junction, the sign indicates we are a mere 756 miles from the Arizona border - and hence about 125 miles from Louisiana! [I keep wondering where our President gets the notion that “We can’t take you anymore. We can’t take you. Our country is full.”]

The IR has done a good job of the blue sky.

Are those flags at half mast? Or am I seeing things.

Youir 'president" is special, to say the least.GrinGrin

Nope - the flagpoles are just short in comparison to the lamp standards. Grin
