Prasonis cape

By GeorgePlatis
A winter landscape of “Prasonisi” cape at Rhodes. It is located in southern west side of the island and it is 92 km from the city of Rhodes . In Greek language” Prasonisi” means the green island.
As a matter of fact Prasonisi is another island that is so close to the main that is connected with it for some period of the year. In this specific time of winter it is separated from Rhodes. Prasonisi is noted to be a good place for windsurfing and kite surfing due to the strong winds.

Isn't this the area where the two seas meet up? I remember Prassonnisi beach to the south where the two oceans meet, the Mediterranean and the Aegean. In your shot the Med is the one on the right. When the tides are low you can walk across to the tiny island which is the most southerly tip of Rhodes. Many wind surfers and kite surfers use this beach. You have done it justice! Great shot! Grin

Dear Isabel thank you for your comment!Smile Your memories from Rhodes are strong enough and your description is accurate ( except only that Mediterranean is on the left)SmileSmileSmileSmile
