Me thinks you've got this selective colouring thing sorted; I can't even do basic editing Sad

I think it is very effective, next time can you do red and white stripes down the carriages Grin

I like the image in its entirety and the additional colouring is in keeping with essence of the B&W finish. I think a good pat on the back is in order.

Colour popping works brilliantly. A really elegant image that you keep on wanting to look at. Smashing!
Hi Richard, I have some preference subjects that I like to take photos off, trains are one of them, and this photo is superb for me, with a nice composition, beautiful monochromatic and the selective red color. You did a great job so my UA goes for youSmileSmileTongue

It's a super shot of the loco and train from an excellent viewpoint, and a bonus having a crew member peering at you from a window: and the selective colour retention works a treat for me, so very well done, Richard.

Superb Richard, the processing is fabulous and the very small amount of colour at the front works an absolute treat. Great shot in the first instance, first class presentation.

The secret is being very selective about what you colour Smile I'm not sure you could improve on this, Richard. The composition is good as well, with the frame filling sweep of the train, and the driver looking out adds some excellent human interest.

Brilliant image Richard - the train curving round the bend and the driver sussing you out too!
The colour popping is just enough - draws your eye straight the front of the train - perfect!
'First class' all the way!! Wink Smile Smile

An image of the highest order captured from a great point of view. Although I am not a great fan of colour popping I think in this case that it works wonderfully.

Wow fantastic, I love this shot, Gill and I are share holders in the Severn Valley Railway. You should contact SVR and offer the shot to them!
I wouldn't change a thing, it really has impact with the red front plate (don't know the technical name for it). You have caught it in just the right position, well done

Great shot Richard , timing is perfect and the line and character of the train is class , not sure if a plain mono might have worked better but it's still very good , kind regards Kel
