My appologies for not being around much - work & a project I'm working on doesn't give me much time to play
We had a week in the New Forest and after a backbraking 2.5 - 3 hours just catching glimpses of this elusive reeddweller with a lot of reeds in the way, it finally decided to play ball & came in the clear for just about a minute or so, it was so close that I could only take shots in portrait format - needless to say I'm pleased to add this one to my p/f - Ina
Superb capture of this shy camouflage artist, Ina. Wonderful plumage detail/tones/patterning and super eye. Posing beautifully and looking so good against the warm-toned natural background.

I would be ecstatic to get this shot - a real cracker - showing it off in its natural habitat and how well it is camouflage - I am glad that your patience was very well rewarded

An outstanding image of the bittern Ina, you've captured him/her in such wonderful light and the detail in the plumage is immaculate. You certainly made the most of your window of opportunity
