The 5th and last of the Big 5 series - and oh what a treat this was. This beautiful animal was just laying in the grass when we first spotted her - see V2 (Full Frame). As with any wildlife we took our record shots with the 70-200mm just for in case she decided to slope off, but to our utter surprise and delight she stayed, moved about and eventually after about 30mins decided to casually walk off into a distance. She was calling throughout - this low rumbling noise - not full growl but a soft clearly audible sound - we thought it might be a female calling a grown up cub or advertising her presence to a male, unfortunately she has got a poor left eye but boy was this a treat that got us grinning from ear to ear - hope you enjoy - Ina PS sorry I'm not about much just so busy at work and absolutely knackered in the evenings - will try and catch up over the weekend again
