Last Light

By ghibby
Another shot from Dockey Woods and the beautiful bluebells. I went for the more traditional approach for this image and tried to keep everything sharp in the frame. As I was using a focal length of 109mm there was limited depth of field and I had to stop down to F16 and precisely focus using the hyperfocal technique. This was made much easier by using live view. I processed the file in ACR 5.2 and made some minor local contrast and colour adjustments in Photoshop, the intensity of the sun light on the nearest tree trunk was a little overbearing so I had to tame this down with curves and saturation adjustments to ensure the image was tonally in balance.

Exposure 1/6sec @ F16.0 ISO 100 Focal length 109mm

The trees, shadows and light, etc. has given you a herring bone effect-- a stunning effect , a stunning image!
