Very nice indeed - exceptional quality. How did you get focus stacking to work on a living bee? it must have remained very still and no wind.

Hi Paul thanks for your comments. This bee was particularly cooperative! I had my camera set to focus bracket (not stack) and managed to get three different series of 30 pictures with the bee in different positions on the flower. The Olympus camera has an incredibly fast frame per second rate - which really helps. The bee actually walked from one flower onto the next, rather than flying. I wondered if it had a problem flying - but then it took off in the middle of the last set of bracketed pictures! Bracketing bugs is often very hit and miss.If they move in the middle of the bracket you can get very strange results. I have ended up with pictures of 20 legged insects before!
