The Cage

By GillyB
The most obvious structure in Lyme Park, other than the house, is a tower called the Cage which stands on a hill to the east of the house. It was originally a hunting lodge and was later used as a park-keeper's cottage and as a lock-up for prisoners.
It overlooks Manchester to the left and The Peak District to the right in this photograph.

Many thanks as always for your time.
