Another exercise for my new camera, once again using Auto (I promise I will start using my own setting soon)! This time a quickly thrown together still-life of a couple of items we had hanging around the house!! Wink Three versions of this - V1 the close-up (which is my preference); V2 the whole picture; V3 the whole picture again without the advertising on the wine! Vs 4-6 are mono versions which I also rather liked.

Thanks for all you recent comments and votes, all much appreciated as ever.

Hope everyone is well, back to work for me tomorrow Sad

Carol

A lovely set of images, one which have clearly been thought through and composed. Very difficult to pick a particular favourite, so I shall remain firmly on the fence. GrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

The wine is red, and a luscious 'wine' red colour so that rules out the monos for me. v3 I'm not so keen on the cropped base. v1 has the best crop but would like to see the crystal sharp as well. v2 is an excellent reference. v1 wins it by a short head. And I'm guessing that bottle's empty by now (if indeed it wasn't before you started!!TongueGrinGrinGrin)

V1 for me. Can't be the monos, even though they are rather good as they don't go with the title choice! Tongue

Lovely series, Carol. I think I like v2 best as it shows the label of my current favourite wine in colour. Grin

Can't approve of the wine, being a Bordeaux man myself, but I love this image (V1). Absolutely brilliant. Don. (Hic!)

V2 is nearest to my vision of your chosen objects.
I've found when arranging items for still life images , you need to keep
looking in the lens to see if it works.
I think the glass is a bit too close to the bottle - probably better
staggered (good choice of word here!)
The plums are a good choice for colour, but I think I'd like to see
more of the red stamp on bottle. The reflections are lovely.
Hope my observations make some kind of sense Carol,
not to say that I'm right though!!!!
