Wood Nymph

By gingerdelight
Hi, and Happy Sunday! Today I am uploading some images of what, I assume, is some kind of Wood Nymph, which is carved out of wood. This is a life-sized sculpture we came across at Hardwick Park (see previous uploads). I thought the facial close-ups would look good in mono, hence Versions 2 and 4, and Version 5 is Dave getting "up close and personal"! Well, it IS Silly Sunday after all!

What a beautiful wood carving, Carol, love the colour versions, showing the textures of the wood in detail. Carol

A wonderful set of images. For me V1 has the lead. It shows the warmth and texture of the wood and that full lipped pout is very sensual! No wonder Dave wanted to get closer.

What a wonderful subject. I think I favour the composition in V3 (and this needs the warmth of colour), the angle brings out the pout better.
V5 made me laugh.

A cracking carving Carol which you've illustrated brilliantly, an excellent set although I must admit to preferring the colour versions for the tones.

As you can probably tell I'm quite into mono at the moment so I particularly like those, and I must say version five gave me a chuckle.

Certainly one of the more attractive bits of wood I have seen Carol.
And nice to see Dave gets the same reaction as me with his chat up lines, with her wooden look.!!
And she never got that flat pack chest out of IKEA,I fancy !!
