Quick snap shot on the pebble beach with no planning. Apart from the youngest squinting I like the angle and tilt from above.

I actually find this very difficult to look at and want to rotate it 90 degrees anti clockwise when it looks much more natural. Otherwise a fine family environmental portrait.

There's no reason why you shouldn't be happy with this, Graham, and it's certainly one for the family album. Good colour, exposure, focus and contrast.
I like the way all of your background is pebbles with no distractions from your two subjects, and the matching colours of their clothes, which means that neither one gets more attention from the viewer. Yes, the squint is annoying, but perfectly natural when looking upwards.

You say that you like the angle and overhead pov, but I feel very much the same as Paul inasmuch as it isn't easy to look at because the first thing my eye wants to do is make it level. In a lot of ways, it makes it different, not the usual snapshot, and I applaud you for that, but have done a modification where I rotated it and came up with a vertical format that felt better and more comfortable to my eyes. I adjusted Levels and cloned out the red trainer because my eye kept going towards it, the colour being so different to anything else.

Thanks for your comments guys and girls, they're really appreciated and I take your point on the angle, even I want to straighten it but it is different.
