Dragonfly

Good Evening

Well its raining, snowing and heavy winds, what a rotten day! So since I was stuck inside the house all day I decided to play around with a couple of shots replacing backgrounds. What can I say I was bored!

What I did:

1. I selected the background with magic wand, then inverted the selection. Did a copy of just the dragonfly.
2. Inverted the selection back so that the background was selected. Then used blur, average. this gave me a solid bg.
3. I then pasted the copy of the dragonfly that I had in the clipboard, then used blending tool to merge the image. Then merged the layer.
4. Finally adjusted levels, contrast, brightness, saturation and Hi Pass.

This is a very good piece of work . My only modification would be to crop it just a bit tighter. At the moment it works better as a pictorial image than as a detailed shot of the dragonfly. Make a duplicate copy and you can have both versions. Andy
