cracker of a capture!... i`d be tempted to try a few with balanced fill flash in this light even though it would scare them i guess!?!.. Wink

I did try the fill flash, it did scare them back into the Den, also the shots I took with the fill did not come out good. They came back out of the Den within 5 minutes.

Unfortunately this one is a bit blurred, Greg. It's a shame as the rest of the series have been pin sharp.

As an image it's a lovely shot, just the sharpness letting it down.

Still, didn't take you long to get to grips with low light photography.

Superb, can't get enough of these beauties. Look forward to some more. Are you still enjoying the D200? I'm tempted to buy one to be able to move around with a little less weight at times. Or maybe just because its a nice new gadget LOL.

Hawk

The only thing I really dislike about the D200 after using the D2X is the Auto Focus, its not as responsive as the D2X, in fact the D2X is a hundred times better. My D2X is in the shop right, having problems with miss fire, as soon as I get it back I will be using that again. The D200 is nice in the respect that the camera is lighter and has a lot of the features of the D2x, however the battery on the D200 runs down quick. Still as a second camera you can not beat it and its worth getting.

Thanks for the info Greg. I suppose the D2X has a much more powerful motor, which will account for the extra speed. For nearly 3 times the dosh, you would expect a superior performance. As you say the D200 will make a very worthwhile 2nd body. Hope you get your D2X back soon.
