Hi Folks, got a bit of a break today and went out for a couple of shots in the local area. Still busy looking for homes, but I really needed to get out and take some shots! Wink I was out on the local woods and came across this juvenile Kestrel. Thought he made a nice shot, hope you like it. Oh well, I have got to get back to work calling around for homes and dealing with realtors. I will try to get on later this evening and see what I have missed. Hope you all had a good weekend.

Virginia Kestrel, still looking for a house in Delaware, got this one close to my home in Virginia.

Just passing through, still a lot of work finding a home and setting up a new work place. I will still be around, just not as much for the next couple of months.

Rodents of the world, watch out! That beak looks nasty. Unusual to see a clear blue sky background from you, and it looks good. Even with the bright light, it does not look washed out or anything. (LOL - now how can I subtract thousandths of a point on this one? I know. His tail is partially hidden behind the post. Next time, tell him to get that tail up! 0.001 points subtracted!)

Actually I tried to shave the poll with my saw but the power company nailed me, so I should at least get the 0.001 back for trying! Wink

PatrickSmith 16 1.2k 2 United States
11 Jul 2005 8:57AM
LOL - ok, you get back the 0.001, but now I must subtract 0.001 for violating the photographer's prime directive, to leave things as they were! But maybe I should add another 0.001 back for that bird standing still through the whole thing!
