Sleepy Orange

By GlenD
Sleepy Orange ( Abaeis nicippe )
Very common in southern and central states, first one I've captured although not a brilliant shot but the best of 3 before it got fed up and left. A small butterfly maybe a little larger than a blue.
Been busy around the house with the garden so haven't been on here or out much with the camera. Got one eye on the weather channel watching these storms that are being thrown in our direction!! a trio of them out there right now.
Hope you are all well out there, appreciate all the C&C's on the Queen.

Glen

Wonderful colours, they really stand out from the background.
I hope you are sitting out the storms okay! (I have a sister who lives in Grand Caymen, so I've been watching the weather too!!)

This is really a colorful and appealing image Glen. Gorgeous yellow on the butterfly.
I'll wish the storms our way instead of yours - we haven't had decent rain in ever so long and our big river is all but dried up!
