Got a couple of ponds in the garden which obviously attracts these guys. Must have been at least 20 of these buzzing about and this was the only opportunity I got of capturing a shot. I think all the mating competition must have been a bit tiring as this one just sat and posed for a shot. If anyone could tell me what the species is it would be most appreciated Wink

Nice focus on the eyes - demands to be looked at!

It's a Common Darter - the other darter likely to be seen (but less so) is Ruddy, but that had solid black legs whereas the Common has some pale bits on the legs.
