Many thanks for the votes and comments on the Common Blue and especially to BRabbitts and Christazzopardi for their UA's, all are very much appreciated.
On Saturday i went to Swell's Hill near Stroud with John Starkey. When we arrived at 6.00am we found plenty of roosting Chalkhill Blues aswell as a few Brown Argus, Common Blues and Meadow Browns. As the sun appeared and the temperature rose we found this stunning male Adonis Blue warming up. I am pretty sure that he had not long emerged as he was absolutely immaculate and posed really well for us. By lunchtime we had found two more fresh males but the wind had really got up and photography was almost impossible so we called it a day.
