A bird I have seldom seen on site here, but from a documentary about them on TV a year or so back, I believe a colony of them can make life almost intolerable for the locals, the noise they put up being just a bit OTT.
Nice shot of this visually shy bird, Mike.

Fabulous shot. This takes me back to0 holidays in Donegal when we were apparently surrounded by them and we were woken at 4.00 in mid summer as they called from the fields. I only have to close my eyes and I can hear that unearthly craking. We never saw them though.
