In memory of Roy

By GlynnisFrith
This image was taken on Sunday during the NYMR spring steam gala, but this was also a sad day because Roy who was a volunteer at the railway sadly died on Friday, he was a boilersmith at the railway & this loco was the last boiler he worked on.

It has a wreath on the smoke box which was placed there by some members of staff as a fitting tribute to a well respected man.

Version 2 shows the shed staff on a line up as the loco passed by

Glynnis

Indeed a fitting tribute to Roy, Glynnis: love the way the loco in V 1 is emerging from all that smoke and steam, and the bigger view in V 2 is such a well balanced image, the workmates lined up to pay their respects.

As said a very fitting tribute, these volenteers do an excellent job. Famous last words hope to be at the railway this week end
