To follow on from the threads in the forums.

This is shot with an IR filter, on a bright day.

30 secs, ISO 100 and F5 @ 17mm was used for the capture. Then using PS to change to BW using channels, and a gradient map to give it a little punch.

Oooohhh, very classy! Why did you use F5? There's nothing in the background that would have distracted, is there? Or did you not want to use an even longer exposure time? Just wondering...

Hi Conrad,

F5 Basically cos, erm, I guess F4 would have been okay, but I think I prob had a thirty second exposer in my mind and F5 is what it came out at.

If I had gone to F22 the exposure would have been, erm ... 3mins ?? you do the math. Smile>

Okay, I was right, then, in assuming that. I suppose that would have made the water even milkier. Well, I really like the shot this way, so I'd say it was a good choice!
