lovely pose, comp. a bit too over to the right as he is looking that way. great DOF. like the border, frame it and stick it on your wall.

This is superb.

I too would alter the crop slightly to stand Mr Puffin to the left (I've added a mod - hope you don't mind)

Great work

Really stands out with that very blurred b/g. I'm off to the Farne's instead for some puffin shots.

Love the detail on the puffin, do think the blurring is a bit strong.

Very, very good. I love the fact that everything other than the puffin is so OOF.

Unfotunately didn't make it to Skomer or Flamborough for Bempton Cliffs, but there is still time.

The more I see shots like this, the more I want to go.

Lovely image of the bird and a great background. Not too keen on the out of focus grass at the bottom though.

Thanks All,

Barrie, yes I like the composition, looks better for loosing not much out of the original frame.

All, the picture is as it was took, I used rawshooter to develop the cr2 file and the only adjustments in photoshop were for cropping and framing. So no extra blur was added, just the effects of f4 close up with the puffin on a bump.

thanks
