The Island

On a day when the snow came back, followed by the rain I tried for some stream shots before I got soaked...

Great composition and nice detail. Not normally a hige blurred water fan - but I think this works well to frame the detail on the rock. Afraid I find the frame colour a bit off-putting, but I know that's just personal. Nice work.

Very interesting image---The soft water in the background tends to emphasize the crisp rock and fauna in the foreground--Very well done!

Steve, the frame was a bit of an 'experiment I have to admit. Not that sure may be redoing that soon.

I find this interesting also. the long exposure makes the water look like silk. the frame is very brave I say... I always think it is safer to go dark. not sure about this one because it has been done nicely.

Not to sure about the frame, but the shot is pin sharp, great shutter work to create cotton wool effect water.

Great photo, I like the silky look, the rock and moss interest and the colours. I see why you chose the frame to complement it because of the colour in the water but I think it's going to be a contested issue. I'm not sure if it works to the best advantage for the picture.

Lovely shot with great detail and perfect exposure. I do find it framed too tightly however.
Had a play with it, hope you don't mind Smile

Scuttlefish: bang on, thats exacctly why i used the colours for the frame and I was never sure about it. I framed a similar shot with a black and white border and it looked better, I'll post it when i get home.

thanks everyone
