Jason's Saxo

By Goggz
This tasty little car was being lovingly tended by it's owner Jason at the North West Motor Show in Victoria Park, Southport.

We got chatting and he told me how much time and money he's spent on this - a helluva lot! He still has plans to add 14 video screens and other audio equipment over the next few years.

The paint job was exquisite and I loved the bright yellow base coat. He keeps it in tip top condition and his Dad had a very tidy lemony yellow Golf GTI there as well.

Finally got the chance to try out my new right angle viewer and it worked a treat... 1/20 sec, f19 ISO100 10mm

Hope you like this. All comments & critique welcome as always!

CHeers, Goggz

Nice one Pete. The sky works really well in this and the low angle almost makes it look like a real car. Smile

Nice shot, i do alot of this sort of thing, the yellow works well against the sky, its difficult at shows to lose the background clutter etc, have look at my wesite you`ll see what i mean........

Looked good on the back of your camera mate and does here too. Seems to have a slight yellow cast to it though, but that angle is phenomenal ... hope the back's not too stiff this morning Wink

Stunning shot, great angle adds to the mean image of the car. Quite why he feels the need to add 14 video screens to a car this size I don't know. It must be my age.

- Probably is.... just like me LOL {creak}.

I've some shots of the engine bay and it looks amazing. He's a great guy and clearly loves his hobby, and I guess is never going to be quite satisfied with the job, so I expect this car will be completely different several times over during it's lifetime.

Sounds just like some of us 'toggers doesn't it - always seeking nirvana... Wink

@ Digicammad - a real car - you mean an Audi I guess 8D

@ Sut68 - yeah, it was a bright day and I guess the reflections from the paint made the sky and grass a bit yellow...

It was great seeing you all again! Look forward to the next time!

@antonyB - nice pix u have - will be back to check 'em out more thoroughly soon.

Thanks for all the comments folks!

Cheers, Goggz

Just checked out the large image - those marks are not on the paintwork - damn dirty sensor! I'll have to get it cleaned... Sad

Hmmm, having trouble getting my head around this colour cast that Sut68 mentioned. Frankly, I can't see it, but antonyB has done a mod to correct it amongst other things. My eyesight must be going down the pan Sad

Is there a possibility that the polariser has made the clouds look dirty? That's the only thing I used...

Opinions please??

a corker of a lens used to good effect here Goggz, the bright yellow car looks great against the dark sky.
