Nice capture, not pinsharp, but good effort. Liked the DoF as well. The text detracts from the overall capture, perhaps a colour to blend in would have been better. Cropping the shot to move the subject to either side, as opposed to in the centre, would have aided composition as well.- 12 Feb 2007 1:53PM

I like the simplicity and minimilistic approach to this shot. The branch creates a nice diagonal across the frame, with the catkin providing an elegant curve of contrasting colour against the flat background.
A slight increase in saturation of the yellow would further enhance the shot, but that's just my taste!- 12 Feb 2007 12:33PM
