Glastonbury Abbey

By gonedigital62
Glastonbury Abbey in Somerset was founded during the 7th century and remained in active use until the arrival of King Henry VIII and the reformation, the Abbots kitchen is the only intact building standing today.
This ancient site wasn't demolished in anger, it's state of collapse is due to local builders plundering the lead roofing, timbers and stones many centuries ago!
Please note this is a manipulation wild trees and modern buildings etc disturbing the view have all been removed.
