This is a Smiths mantle clock that's approximately 75 years old, recently it began stopping after rewinding the main spring. It's been oiled regularly so I decided to strip it down and thoroughly clean all the components. You see the naked mechanism here during a 48 hour soak test that confirmed it was running okay. Later it was returned to it's wooden cabinet.
