Nice pic - it's cropped a bit too tight for my liking - although I'm sure that's more to do with the shoot conditions than anything else. I've uploaded a rough edit of what I'd do with it (I'm not as good with photoshop as you, dear).

I've also uploaded an aerial shot of Great Harwood to illustrate the dangers of giving all your temporary files the same name :o)

Oh, so this is the reason I haven't seen you all week?

    The penny drops!

I agree that the barbed wire shouldn't be going through his head (despite being jealous) but I quite like the Pylon in-shot. And someone needs to tell the kids round here that ripped jeans, pastel colours, labels and the music from the 80's are all out of fashion, because they seem to think they are coming back in!

Would be good to see this one in colour.

I do like selective colour - but I think this one would have either benefited from the boat being in colour, or leaving as it is with the other buoy cloned out.

(Just my opinion, of course - the experts should feel free to tell me I'm talking rubbish)

I was tempted not to comment, because I don't like the tree the way it is, while everyone else likes it. I'd have gone for a basic scenery shot by moving a few feet to the left.

Having said that I would also have got a "landscape" orientation shot - and I think portrait was a good choice for this one, so what do I know?

(Edit - the shot I would have got is the one you posted on 6th Aug, and that one has marginally more votes, so I'm not really talking out of my bottom (for a change))
