Lost in the Infinity by Graham_Rainham
This image was taken as the "test shot" of the person in the infinity cove at Festival Studios on Canvey Is..
Ayla had just finished a set with another photographer and was resting. As I was working at a different ISO setting to the others, I attached the flash trigger and took the shot without looking, just to see if the exposure was correct for my system.
The image is virtually straight out the camera, with just my "standard" adjustments made by DxO Optics Pro Elite.
Having never used an infinity cove before, this one is much bigger than most, so I used this one in a similar way to "situation/positioning" shots that we take on locations.
Her expression, says it all... It was a great set and a lot of fun.- 1 Jun 2015 11:09AM

Posted on: Olympus M.Zuiko 25mm f/1.2 PRO Lens Review
Why oh why is this comparison thing brought up again and again and again???
Both focal length and f/no are design constants of a lens.
We don't see so called "Full Frame" lenses being derided by what they would equate to if used on a medium format sensor...

Posted on: Panasonic Lumix G5 vs Olympus OM-D E-M5 Review
"The 12 month cycle of some of these cameras lets Panasonic and Olympus update and refresh their models much more quickly than the more usual 18-24 month life cycle for Digital SLRs, making the specifications and performance of these cameras very impressive in comparison. They are increasingly making a more compelling argument for themselves to the point where the additional bulk of a more traditional Digital SLR is no longer necessary."
This statement, more than anything, will have other manufacturers giving a lot more consideration to the CSC designs and their place in the market.
People are no longer sucked into the mythology of the so called "Professional" cameras, and with the new crop of lenses that are becoming available the Image Quality is not only comparable but will often exceed that of the very heavy & very expensive kit.- 18 Jul 2012 12:04PM

Posted on: Olympus Tough TG-1 Hands-On Preview
I saw the new TG-1 last Thursday and was very impressed.
Having had a couple of mjus, as they were before they became "Toughs", as my "always with me" camera, I can attest to the ruggedness of them.
I will certianly be looking for a good excuse to upgrade from my mju1030SW, probably on the basis of the extra low light capability.- 27 Jun 2012 2:01PM

Posted on: Olympus 75mm M.Zuiko Digital f/1.8 Sample Photos
I was very fortunate in getting to use this lens, and having the delightful Helen & Samantha available to work with. The image quality is excellent, with the wide aperture combined with the focal length, producing wonderfully smooth out of focus effects.
Viewing RAW files at 1:1 resolution shows all the skin detail you will ever want and in the real world will have many models asking for post processing on the majority of images
Even with the limited time availble to me to play with this new lens, I feel it will soon become considered as a classic.- 27 Jun 2012 1:45PM
