Thank you all for comments votes and awards for yesterdays butterfly, today a beached boat from Porlock weir with four textures added, V2 is the original, as before some will like it and some will hate it
Like the composition Trev, slight preference for V2,
I like V2 too Trev.
Congratulations on your results tonight in the club comp, you and Paul are storming ahead on points now surely, it's going to be a close call at the end of the year
I love what you have done in V1! Well done!
I am one who like what you have done !! One very colourful boat !
I think you have done a great job with v1.
V1 for me Trev, very creative.
Very well processed in V.1, Trev, but I preference is for V.2, good to see Countisbury Hill in the distance Carol
I bet this boat could tell some stories and I prefer V2.
Trev's got talent hiding his light under a bushel, I like both which are very well done in each case, just gave my award or you would have got it!, still i'm impressed Trev, hope you do well regards Leon.
A reet bobby dazzler it's V2 for me I prefer the cleaner appearance
I'm going with v2 too Trev but its fun to experiment!
The 'scrunched/torn' effect emphasises the dilapidation so well. v1 for me, Trev.
Very good work in V1 Trev, but I prefer V2, superb light , colours and clarity
I love the treatment in version 1 Trev.
Quote: The 'scrunched/torn' effect emphasises the dilapidation so well. v1 for me, Trev.
I'm in the love it camp.
I like the way you mix several textures to achieve your goal.
I think this is a very therapeutic way of spending time.
the boat looks amazing.
So tell us which images you've been winning with at club.
Thanks everyone, Kate put in four, two prints and two projected, scored three 19s and one 17 out of twenty, what Geoff is on about is the Club Photographer of the Year goes on the accumulated points for all 8 competitions.
I am not that keen on over-processing, Trev, so it's definitely the original for me which is a delightful shot of the decrepit old vessel, the detail, textures and colours so well captured.
The low viewpoint also enhances the effect.
Have to go here with the 'flow' Trev and say V2
You know I love to mess Trev.................. Half a vote for each because I just cant decide!
Like the textures additions but for me I would have pulled it back a bit of the boats hull, good to play
That's my dreamboat Trev What gorgeous colours and textures!
I like what you did, but the original is beautiful too.
Did you get any close ups?
I like both in their own right, and best of luck in your club competition.
like how you have presented this Trevor V1 suits the delapidated state of the original V1 for me good bit of work and can only be done when using a good initial image!! well done in the competitions
It has to be the original for me Trev
Funny reading all the comments at first I was straight for V2 as did not at first thing V1 was my sort of thing. As you look at V1 I think it does add value and bring out more how old the boat is. For me although V2 is my thing I actual like V1 more. Funny how you have just made me look at things differently.. Well done Trev..
v1 for me Trev - I like the further cracking of the boat from that textured layer
But well worthy of the shot!
Love this and whatever other work you have done to it. It's wonderful!
As my dear old dad used to say, never buy a boat thats covered by thick new paint, thick new varnish, or the high tide....
Nicely done Trevor.
