Worse for wear

By Gray_ina
Thank you for you kind c'c on the Coqui Francolin upload - much appreciated.
This Liones looks Worse for wear - we think she might be one of the older females in rather a large pride - in fact they had 16 adolescent cubs with them. We saw them near a drinking hole and she was the only adult showing well. We sat there from 05:45 till 9:30 watching the interaction of the cubs with other animals desperate for a drin - but the cubs weren't having any of it - more of that later - gray.

She looks like she needs some food. Maybe she is so thin from having babies. Great capture.......Sandy

She does look a bit bruised and battered, Gray, and very thin. Well captured, though. Carol

She does look if she has been in a scrap or two - maybe trying to get a mouthfull of food before the cubs can devour it all - a lovely shot with good colour and detail - Ina

Great capture, Graham - she does look a bit jaded, but still a noble animal.
